Optimal print results for advertising graphics are only possible when the individual
components – printer, ink and film – are ideally matched to each other. This is why 3M has teamed
up with the printer manufacturers HP and EFI to develop new specialty printing inks that perfectly
meet the requirements of professionals and are backed by the comprehensive 3M MCS Warranty when
printed on 3M media.
EFI and 3M, for example, are launching the co-branded
EFI™ VUTEk® GSr 3M™ Premium UV Ink for EFI’s Vutek GS5000r printer. With this new
ink, output from the 5-meter printer when printed on 3M media, will meet the requirements of the 3M
MCS Warranty, the premier graphics warranty that is one of the most comprehensive in the
industry.
The VUTEk GS5000r 5-meter digital printer is an eight-color printer with fantastic 1000-dpi
quality, providing a unique combination of quality and speed. And by running the 3M ink, which sets
a new high standard in adhesion and color gamut, the graphics produced on this printer will now
carry the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty.
Latex printing is currently establishing itself as the modern alternative to solvent printing
technologies. 3M and HP are launching the new
HP 3M LX600 Specialty Latex Ink for the HP Scitex LX600 and LX800 and Designjet
L65500 printers. Output using these inks will also be backed by the 3M MCS Warranty when used on 3M
media and printed and applied according to 3M technical literature.
